I just happened to stumble upon The Olympic Club in Centralia while trying to find a restroom to use, and I decided it would be a great place to stop for a beer (well, cider!). The atmosphere is fun with tables located through out the building in sporadic places. The different rooms seemed to make up an intricate labyrinth of rooms, yet they are all connected.
The Olympic Club house is a part of the McMenamin’s Brewing company which is located out of Wilsonville, Oregon. Not only do they make beer but also cider, wine, and coffee. I tried the Ruby Ale and their traditional cider. I am a huge cider fan, so I preferred the cider. I visited another one of the McMenamin’s, The Bagdad Pub and Theater, which is located in the Hawthorne District.
The Olympic Club is good for families or a group of friends going out for a drink. There are separate sides for minors and for the 21 and up crowd. During the day, the billiards room was filled with both families and adults. During the evening, I may assume an older crowd. There is something for everyone on the menu with plenty of vegetarian/vegan and gluten free items on the menu. I am very pleased that I stumbled upon The Olympic Club, and I would suggest that you stop in too.
