Favorite Moments: Port Wine in Porto, Portugal

I had an amazing time in Porto, Portugal. I loved all of the shops and cafes along the river. In addition, there is a selection of great Port Wine Wineries right on the river. I went on a a winery tour at the Ferreira Cellars, which was very informative. Plus, we could sample two Port wines.

While in Porto, I stayed at Yes! Porto Hostel, a very nice hostel with a beautiful common area and kitchen. The rooms are also very nice! The service was excellent; the hostel attendant was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Overall, I was very impressed with this hostel. Also, I was there during Carnival, so the fiesta was crazy inside the hostel and out!

  1. Great timing with this Alex – I’m literally looking up flights to Porto right now. It has a good chance of being my final trip of the year…

    • I hope you enjoy Porto! It really is a beautiful city. I didn’t mention it in the post, but make sure you try a Pastel de nata if you get the chance — it’s a lovely custard dessert! :)
