No matter how long you live in Michigan for, you will never be able to predict the weather. In one day, it is possible to have snow, sunshine, rain, sleet, a rainbow, hot, cold, infinite weather possibilities all in one day. These past couple of days have been filled with snow, wind, cold, and ice.
Winter storm advisories have been out starting last Saturday night continuing through today, Monday. The winter advisories were so threatening a trip to the supermarket Saturday was a nightmare because everyone was stocking up on food; grocery store shelves were left bare. My university and many others in Michigan were closed today, some even already closed for tomorrow.
Yesterday, to celebrate and enjoy this beautiful snow some of my friends and I went out snowboarding. For southwest Michigan, the snow was amazing. Plenty of powder, perfect for trying out some jumps.
We went out to Clubhouse BFD to enjoy the huge selection of beers. The following day we went to a small brewery, Sherwood Brewing. I was plesently surprised by the wit beer and cranberry cider. They also have alcoholic ice cream, only for those of age. Mmmm… that ice cream was tasty!
