My Adventures

Seasides and Castles in Wales

Wales Coast

I have found that Wales’ natural beauty is extremely overlooked. I stayed with a friend while I was there, and even he was impressed by our tour of the natural sights including castles (of which I insisted on stopping at each one), waterfalls, and the coast line.

We drove through the winding roads of the country side to the coast and found ourselves at a small inlet with beautiful rock formations. We were able to walk over small tide pools looking down to what was inside, some small underwater creatures. There were also some small caves dug out into the cliff side.

As I said, we also stopped at any castle we saw (at my request). Wales is well known for the large array of castles that still remain today. In the USA, we just do not see castles (or any old buildings in general) like in the UK or Europe, so it is always exciting for me. I love to roam through the old buildings, especially castles and just imagine what it was like to live there at the time when it it was occupied.
