People Watching at the Spanish Steps, Rome

People Watching at the Spanish Steps, Rome

The Spanish Steps make a great break from all of the sight-seeing in Rome. It is a fun place to sit and just people watch. The Spanish steps connect the Piazza di Spagna and the Trinità dei Monti church at the top. These steps make the widest staircase in Europe, which is why there is so much sitting room!

There are people from all places, from all walks of life – sometimes people watching is my favorite part of traveling.

If you just take time to take in your surroundings, you can often learn a lot more about people than you might think. Often times, in this modern world we forget to slow down and enjoy the presence of others whether they be friends or complete strangers. Next time you have the opportunity – just enjoy. Enjoy the others around you, enjoy nature, enjoy life. Make conversation with strangers, be polite, rock out to your favorite song, take that trip you have always wanted to, just do what makes YOU happy.

And remember, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”
